The Toasted Florist signals a different approach to floristry, incorporating a background in high-end events and weddings around Hertfordshire and London.
Our founder and creator Jack begun his career studying professorial dance and musical theatre at The Urdang Academy in London in 2018. The academy gave Jack the opportunity and outlook to express his creative approach in life through movement and expression.
With the disciplined training and tools he found he could refine and nurture his true passion in his life which has been flowers and nature.
Lockdown 2020/21 gave Jack the opportunity to focus and begin his career in the floristry industry.
Established in 2025.
Jack started his training at one of London’s most prestigious floristry education schools, The Judith Blacklock school of flowers in Knightsbridge, London gave him the knowledge to refine his passion. Jack graduated in professional business of floristry and event styling in May 2021.
Since then Jack has worked for a number of high end florist companies across London and Hertfordshire. Working from large scale event installations, weddings whilst starting at his local flower shop.
Over the years Jack has become a regular visitor and buyer at New Covent Garden Flower Market in Battersea, London and feels he has experienced the market lifestyle and has built his own relationships with some of the companies who reside there.
Jack has a big passion towards all aspects of floristry but particularly the preparation of floral installations and the execution of these displays-on site to create a memorable, beautiful and immersive experience for his clients, taking notes on applying his skills to the use of colour and textures, effectively and imaginatively.
An instinctive visual literacy began to take hold, after establishing the toasted florist, it’s become very much a love language through which dried flowers are now the main performer. Faded hues, and asymmetric angles appear instinctive, allowing the designs that nature has created to take centre stage just as Jack once did.
